Carpool2Schools is committed to making our website usable for parents, school staff, and all visitors, including people who use assistive technologies.

Our goal

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This includes keyboard access, screen reader support, sufficient color contrast, and clear form labels on school search and parent registration flows.

Measures we take

• Semantic HTML landmarks (main content, headings, labels)
• Skip link to main content on every page
• Visible keyboard focus indicators
• Form errors announced to assistive technology
• Ongoing review of search, registration, and admin tools

Known limitations

Some embedded video content and third-party maps may not fully meet accessibility standards. We are working to improve focus management in media dialogs and to expand testing with VoiceOver and NVDA.
